Olympus M.Zuiko ED 75-300mm f4.8-6.7 II Lens
Compact, lightweight, easy-to-use super-telephoto lens
Comparison with conventional super-telephoto zoom lenses. Previous super-telephoto focal zone (35mm equivalent focal length: 600mm) lenses were large, heavy, expensive, and difficult to use. This has now changed with our compact, lightweight 423 g design, now available at low cost. Some fancy footwork with this lens will let you take intense shots from various angles.
High image quality
ZERO Coating eliminates ghosts and flares
This lens features the advanced ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) Coating, ensuring high imaging performance even under unfavorable conditions such as backlit environments.
Extensive use of high-quality lens elements
1. Super ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lens
2. ED lenses
3. HR (High Refractive index) lenses
A Super ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lens and 2 ED lenses are used to effectively correct chromatic aberrations that degrade the image quality of telephoto lenses. It also adopts 3 HR (High Refractive index) lenses to reduce the size and correct various aberrations and thereby achieving outstanding image quality in the entire zoom area.
The MSC (Movie & Still Compatible) mechanism enables fast, quiet autofocusing
The lightweight MSC (Movie and Still Compatible) mechanism is the latest in optical design technology for achieving fast, silent focusing through a minimum number of lenses. The gears have been removed to eliminate noise. A mechanism that employs the sub-micron precision metallic shaft and feeds screw (screw drive) is used for efficient, direct driving of the lightweight focusing lens. This lens employs an inner focusing system that uses the MSC mechanism. It performs autofocusing by optimally controlling the 2 small, lightweight, unit shift lenses. Thanks to this smooth AF system, users can comfortably shoot both still images and movies.
